Barulho and King Lagoon’s Flying Swordfish Dance Band
18th May 2016
Brighton Spiegeltent, Old Steine, BN1 1GY2
An evening of legendary psychotropic tales as part of Brighton Fringe 2016. Join us at the Brighton Spiegeltent for adventure, absurdity, bedlam, heroic deeds, exotic smells, and intoxicating rhythms.
Experience the tropically wondrous stories of King Lagoon and the quests to protect the people and creatures of his realm. Join in the re enactment and participate in the Great Race of the Flying Swordfish, the hunt for the Queen’s coconut harp, and the conjuring of 100,000 islands.
King Lagoon’s Flying Swordfish Dance Band are a multi-dimensional, psychedelic, Afro-Latin dance band that comes complete with it’s very own smell technician and cosmic light show.
They are joined at this Kemp Town Carnival benefit gig by the wandering Carnival Bizarre drumming troupe, Barulho, bringing their heavy Samba Reggae Funk to the King’s court.
Expect rhythms from other dimensions, exotic and tropical smells to delight, audience participation and a truly cosmic Carnival experience.
