KEMP TOWN CARNIVAL - CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL 2015

A one day family fun festival held in and around St Georges Church on Saturday 6th June, the Children's Festival is jammed packed with theatre, story telling, puppetry, circus skills workshops, creative activities, a street market, great local food and of course the grand Custard Pie fight!

Inside St. George's Church
The event is part ticketed, part free, with only limited tickets available for some shows.
The following shows in St George's Church have limited tickets, get them while you can!

PUSS IN BOOTS: 10am - 11am
Adapted for the stage by Amy Sutton and Joshua Crisp
With music and lyrics by Natalie Sexton
Puppet design by Annie Brooks
Grab your boots and join Jack and his wily cat Puss on a quest to defeat an evil ogre and win the hand of Jack's true love, Princess Joy. Following the sell-out success of Thumbelina, award-winning storytellers Bard & Troubadour present a whirlwind two-man version of this fantastic feline fable. Expect music, puppets – and plenty of audience participation
Tickets: £8 per person or £26 for a family ticket
(2 adults/2 children)

SIGNOR BAFFO'S RESTAURANT: 11.30am - 12.30pm
There is chaos in the kitchen when Signor Baffo opens the doors to his restaurant in this riotous, messy interactive show for children ages 5+
When lovable, eccentric but rather hapless chef Signor Baffo is left in charge with a long list of jobs to complete for his boss, he enlists some young helpers from the audience. What's the best way to mix meatballs with spaghetti? How do you make a chicken lay an egg, and how does a sausage roll? Expect plates full of fun (and custard pies), all served with a generous helping of mischief and adventure!

Combining physical comedy, slapstick and puppetry, Signor Baffo’s Restaurant is the creation of Brighton-based performer Oliver Harrison.  Oliver is a member of Wildheart and Lyric Theatre Company and has worked with companies including Dreamthinkspeak, Bureau of Silly Ideas, Gomito, Long Nose Puppets and has also collaborated with clowning master Stephen Harper, an associate of Told by an Idiot. Oliver also plays legendary Spanish waiter Manuel in Interactive Theatre International’s hit production, Faulty Towers: The Dining Experience.

Tickets: £8 per person or £26 for a family ticket
(2 adults/2 children)
